1. Who we are
Individual Entrepreneur NIKITA PETINTSEV operates the Libranary macOS application and related services from the country of Georgia. This policy explains how we process information when you use the application or contact us.
2. Information processed for your requests
When you ask Libranary to translate text or generate a response, our server temporarily processes the API token, selected text, prompt, and provider response needed to perform that action. We process this information in memory for the duration of the request. We do not save it in a database or retain it in logs.
We send the information required to fulfill your request to the AI or translation provider you use. That provider processes the information under its own terms and privacy policy. Review your provider's policy before sending sensitive or confidential text.
3. License and activation information
We store the following information to issue licenses, enforce activation limits, authenticate devices, and revoke licenses when necessary:
- The license key, maximum activation count, revoked status, optional free-form note, and creation timestamp.
- For each activation, the associated license key, device ID, optional device name, hashed authentication token, activation timestamp, and last-seen timestamp.
The system does not require or structure the optional note as a personal-information field. However, a note may contain personal information if someone enters it manually.
We do not store your name, email address, IP address, or purchase record as part of the licensing system.
4. How we use information
We process information to:
- Provide translations and AI-generated responses.
- Validate licenses and manage device activations.
- Protect the service from unauthorized use.
- Respond when you contact support.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
5. Legal basis
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process request content and license information because it is necessary to provide the service you requested and perform our agreement with you. We may also process limited information when required by law or when necessary to protect the service and our legal rights.
6. Sharing and service providers
We share request content only with the AI or translation provider needed to perform your chosen action. Infrastructure providers may process limited technical information while hosting or transmitting our service. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect users, the public, or our legal rights. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention
We discard API tokens, submitted text, prompts, and provider responses as soon as the request is complete. We keep license and device activation records while they are needed to validate, support, or revoke a license and to meet legal obligations.
If you ask us to delete license information, we will assess the request under applicable law. Deleting it may prevent the license from activating or functioning.
8. International processing
Libranary operates from Georgia. The providers you choose and our infrastructure providers may process information in other countries. Their privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a portable copy. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need information that reasonably verifies your relationship to a license or device before acting on the request.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Authentication tokens stored for device activations are hashed. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
Libranary is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
